Immunohistochemistry - Anti-Caspase 3 Rabbit mAb [31F24G67]

Sample: Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded human colorectal carcinoma tissue

Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 30 mins.

Primary antibody: R013730 at 1:200 dilution

Secondary antibody: Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L), HRP conjugated at 1:1,000 dilution

DAB was used as the chromogen.

Counter stained with hematoxylin.

Positive/negative staining were presented.

Only the secondary antibody was used as the negative control.

Background	Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce 2 subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme.

Cellular Location	Cytoplasm.

Tissue Location	Highly expressed in lung, spleen, heart, liver and kidney. Moderate levels in brain and skeletal muscle, and low in testis. Also found in many cell lines, highest expression in cells of the immune system.
