Flow cytometric analysis of Mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 expression in HeLa cells using Mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 antibody (M021306, 1:2,000). Green, isotype control; red, Mitogen-activated protein kinase 9.

Western blotting analysis using mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 antibody (M021306). Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 antibody (M021306, 1:2,500) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse secondary antibody (1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using ECL Substrate Kit.

Western blotting analysis using mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 antibody (M021306). Mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 expression in wild-type (WT) and mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 (MAPK9) knockdown (KD) HSHC cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 antibody (M021306, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse secondary antibody (1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using ECL Substrate Kit.

Background	The stress-activated protein kinase/Jun-amino-terminal kinase SAPK/JNK is potently and preferentially activated by a variety of environmental stresses including UV and gamma radiation, ceramides, inflammatory cytokines, and in some instances, by growth factors and GPCR agonists. As with the other MAPKs, the core signaling unit is composed of a MAPKKK, typically MEKK1-MEKK4, or by one of the mixed lineage kinases (MLKs), which phosphorylate and activate MKK4/7.

Background

The stress-activated protein kinase/Jun-amino-terminal kinase SAPK/JNK is potently and preferentially activated by a variety of environmental stresses including UV and gamma radiation, ceramides, inflammatory cytokines, and in some instances, by growth factors and GPCR agonists.
